Library eliminating overdue fines 

The Austin Metropolis Council has unanimously voted to get rid of fines for overdue library materials at the Austin Community Library. 

Late fines build a fiscal barrier for a lot of individuals in accessing library supplies, and have been located to be an ineffective way of encouraging materials returns.
