Nancy Lou Gierhart, age 84, was termed into the presence of the Lord at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Van Crest of Ada with the love of her loved ones by her aspect. 

Nancy was born July 28, 1937 in Lima, OH, to the late Michael M. Werner and Helen Irene (Wellbaum) Werner Metzger.  On June 2, 1956 she married the enjoy of her everyday living, Jack D. Gierhart. 

Nancy was a graduate of Lima South Significant College and retired in 2007 from the Lima Public Library wherever she was the Head Librarian of the Harrod Branch. She experienced previously labored as a seamstress at Don Johnson Bridal, acquiring sewn several marriage attire for family users and she experienced worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Harrod, a veterinarian in Harrod, Ohio. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in LaFayette, Ohio in which she served on the Altar Guild, Prayer Chain and had been a Sunday University Instructor. She also served on the funeral committee aiding serve meals and she loved decorating the tables for particular situations at the church. Nancy experienced also been lively in the Boy and Cub Scouts as a Den Mother and a Women Brownie Leader in Harrod, Ohio. She was active in the Ohio Conservation League, Board of Elections and the Harrod Satisfied Properties CCL. She was an energetic member of the Bluffton Senior Citizens the place they often traveled executing numerous journeys, some of which was Hawaii, Alaska, Branson, MO and Maine. She cherished to read, do crafts, enjoy playing cards, camp and travel with spouse and children and friends. Nancy was a devoted spouse, mom and grandma who particularly loved paying out time with her household. 

She is survived by her beloved spouse of 66 several years, Jack D. Gierhart of Lima two sons, Gregory (Mary) Gierhart of Powell, Mark (Mary) Gierhart of Harrod two daughters, Pamela (Marty) Clum of Ada, Diana (Ken) Lugibihl of Bluffton 10 grandchildren, Matthew Gierhart, Maggie Gierhart, Jennifer Grace, Michael (Abby) Gierhart, Ryan Gierhart, Zac (Nicole) Clum, Daniel (Trisha) Clum, Sarah (Austin) Garman, Jaime Lugibihl and Alexis (Nate Skinner) Lugibihl twenty great-grandchildren and a sister-in-legislation, Darlyn Werner.  

In addition to her dad and mom, she is preceded in dying by her action-dad, Edwin Metzger and two brothers, Robert Werner and Tom Werner.    

Funeral products and services will start out at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Chiles-Laman Funeral And Cremation Providers, Eastside Chapel, 828 Bellefontaine Ave, Lima. Pastor Ryan Cordel will officiate the services. Burial will abide by in Memorial Park Cemetery. 

The family members will acquire close friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, and from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the support on Monday, at the funeral house.
